Break-even price calculator
Fees mean you need a slightly higher price just to get your money back. Find that price.
How to use it
- Type the number of shares you bought.
- Type the price you paid per share.
- Read the lowest price that gets your money back.
Why it is above your buy price
You pay fees when you buy and again when you sell. So selling at the same price you bought at loses money. The break-even price covers both sets of fees.
Small trades need a bigger move
The Rs 25 DP charge and the Rs 10 minimum commission do not shrink with the trade. So a small trade needs a bigger percentage rise to break even.

How much does a stock need to rise to break even?
For most trades between Rs 50,000 and Rs 5 lakh, it is a little under 1%. Smaller trades need more.
